So I realised I haven't updated my blog posts since my 2020 COVID post, so I thought it was time for an update.
I was very lucky in 2020 as my contract with Senatori Rhodes as an aerialist/dancer started up again in July. We flew out to Rhodes, and got to perform in the theatre there to audiences, when back home theatres were still closed. It was a very different season, with social distancing on stage and strict rules in the hotel, but I got to perform my hoop, rope and silks routines I had choreographed in rehearsals. We completed the season and came home in November.
I auditioned when I got home for Pop up entertainment, for their upcoming brand new cruise contracts. I was so happy to be offered the role of singer/ dancer/aerialist on the brand new ship for Fred Olsen, Bolette. However due to covid our starting date got moved back a few times so I continued working at Sainsbury's until I finally got our confirmed date through.
We started rehearsals at the end of April 2021, we were the inaugural cast for the Bolette and also Pop Up's first cruise cast. My favourite show was the circus show, where I played an acrobat who turned into a mermaid at moonlight. I loved being able to combine singing with my aerial. We were onboard from June-January. Our contract was cut short by two weeks due to Covid, at this point the famous omicron variant was in the Uk and had spread onto our ship. It was sad to say goodbye to the cast but I was excited to see my family and friends.

Once I got home I started working as an aerialist for Aruba in Bournemouth, and Pryzm in Plymouth. I have now bought my own Lollipop hoop which I can practise on at home and can use at gigs where there is no rigging. My latest show was for Pop up entertainment at NEC, Resorts World. I was Supergirl on the Lollipop for an awards event.

I am now in the UK theatre tour of In the Night Garden. I play the role of puppeteer/Upsy Daisy. This is my first time in children's theatre but I love it and it is an avenue I would love to continue in.
